for as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a writer. I used to write little stories, sometimes in the form of diary entries, or from the perspectives of young girls my age. in the seventh grade, I even wrote a novel. it was poorly written, took too much from my own life, and I’m sure I’d go back at it now and laugh, but it was so fun at the time!

as I’ve gotten older, I’ve dedicated less time to writing. I used to keep diaries I wrote in every day, now I can barely manage to write once a week. I’m still overflowing with ideas - some better formed than others. some more worth pursuing than others. I’m drawn to creating fictional worlds and characters, exploring a new possible life through another being (even if they’re not real). I’m also interested in non-fiction writing, essays and journalism. I’d like to use this as a space to write about my own observations, feelings, life, and writing process. if you’re interested in reading whatever this ends up being, please follow along. I’d love to have you here :)

a little blog about the process of writing, sometimes interspersed with my thoughts on culture, books, movies, and whatever else feels relevant.
